The Beginning

Well, not really, but "beginning" is such a vague concept anyway... I don't have the initial brainstorming lists handy right now, but here are the 4 ideas we pulled from that crowd to use as seeds.

***

boundary and transition spaces, physical and otherwise. the spaces where two worlds meet - the gap between that's forgotten by both. the grassy field and riverbank beneath the railroad overpass. the shoreline behind the industrial park. the marshland next to the airport. the front porch of the apartment building. roadsides and bridges. the crumbling concrete dock beneath the waterfront condo. something uncomfortable about these places. a feeling that no rules from either side of the boundary apply to what is stuck between. a feeling that you could shout there and not be heard.

A psychadellic journey, with conversations with gods who are themselves lost, trying to find cause in the world that may simply have none.

history as a story held in memory, memory as an imperfect record. history as impermanent and changeable, either in the mind or in reality. is the subject insane? does it matter? history as a chaotic system. small changes -> random and wild effects

A storyteller within a story, the third son of story telling fame who sells his cut of the inheritance for a pouch of funds and goes wandering into the heath lands of the back country, collecting stories himself while he lives a story of merit.
